Kalshi is a legitimate CFTC-regulated exchange — and it's in the middle of the defining fight: the Third Circuit said its sports contracts are likely federally protected swaps, while the Ninth Circuit ruled on August 28, 2026 that Nevada can enforce state gambling law against them.
